Robert Chody knew he wanted to be a cop when…

A young officer cuffed and took away the man who abused teenage Robert and his mother. From that moment on, Robert knew he wanted to spend his life making other families feel as safe as he did that day.

30 years later, Robert has served our community at nearly every level of public safety—from the National Guard to training future officers to leading Williamson County’s top public safety initiatives.

Since we elected Chody as our Sheriff, he has modernized the Sheriff’s department with a focus on serving justice to victims and  keeping all Williamson County citizens safe. And he was recognized by then-AG Greg Abbott for his sweeping crackdown on deadbeat parents in our community.

Guided by his strong faith and personal story, Robert Chody is motivated everyday to give our families another reason to feel safer. He is the committed lawman we need.

Robert and his wife Beverly have been married for 31 years. They are the proud parents of three daughters and one son who recently earned the title of U.S. Marine.
